Glowing Event with Pregnant Mommies by Andorra Women and Children Hospital

Assalamualaikum and good day beautiful readers~

Today, I would love to share with you guys on my special visit to an event hosted by the Andorra Women and Children Hospital. If you may are new to the hospital, it is actually a newly built hospital founded by Dr. Khamsiah Hj Musa, a very well know gynae previously servicing Hospital Annur Bangi.

For your information, I had never been interested in giving birth in other hospital beside Sunway Medical Center (SMC) but due to the expensive fees for emergency delivery, I decided to try out Hopital Pakar Annur. It came highly recommended by many of my colleagues so it must be good. I wouldn't say that it has such low fees but it is affordable by comparison the SMC. After 2 check-ups at Hospital Pakar Annur, I discovered that the ever famous Dr. Kham has built and design her own hospital near Seri Kembangan. You can explore their FB account here. Typically, I was very curious and decided to attend their first public showing on 14 October 2017. The event was introduced as Glowing Event with Pregnant Mommies. I was really excited.

We arrived at about 10.30am and was greeted by their hostess at the entrance. We registered our names and was given a number, ours was 31. The kids were ushered by their 'pengasuh' or nanny into the kids corner while myself and Mr. Bob were instructed to wait a while. They informed us that no photography is allowed and only the exterior of the hospital is good for photos. We tried our best to honor that request. :) We move in a group of 10 and started our tour.

There are 5 floors in total, including the paeds wards, maternity wards/nursery, consultation rooms, lobby/cafe/florist and the labour room/OT. Everything was nicely decorated with English style. The wards bedding was cotton patchwork (not true to the overall design of gold) but upon touching it was very comfortable. All of the walls throughout the hospital were wallpapered except for the labor room (duuuh). Hahaha. Most of the rooms are single rooms, corner rooms are for VIPs and 4 bedded ward are in an open area. All rooms comes with a private toilet and one sofa. Couldn't comment more on the sofa because they have yet to arrive. Instead of Astro channel, the TVs will be hooked up to Netflix instead.

Now, the question of price. For the first 3 months this is the published price:

Normal Delivery:
4 Bedded : RM 2499.00
2 Bedded : RM 2699.00
Single Bed : RM 2999.00

C-sec Delivery:
4 Bedded : RM 6999.00
2 Bedded : RM 7399.00
Single Bed : RM 7999.00

My thoughts on the price was it's definitely much affordable if compared to other private hospital. However, it is still new, and may have some hiccups along the way that they need to improve in the future.

Interesting Info to Share:
  • They have a professional chef and in-room dining service
  • They have one time home visit service included in their package
  • They own the row of shop lots beside the hospital that will become a postnatal care centre and able to take care of your older children while you are warded
  • You are able to loan their nebulizer machine should you have difficulty to move back and forth from home to the hospital
  • All of the specialist, doctors and nurses are women (this is very interesting)
  • Breath-takingly beautiful surau was situated in the consultation floor.
  • Launching will be somewhere in November 2017
We finished our tour and had brownies / creampuffs

Right out in front of the hospital

Ok ladies, take your opportunity and try to explore this hospital too.. :)
