Well Done Sissy.

It was a proud moment for us mama and papa when kakak received an invitation letter to attend the "Hari Kecemerlangan 2016". So happy that we bought a simple gift to commemorate the day. The gift was a simple purple SMASH watch.

This was her first attendance of such event and she was super exited *and so were we*. Since we are quite early, we sat on the 5th row in the parents area. I had purchased some bread and drinks the day before as it was expected that we had to skip breakfast *usually we are late getting ready*. We ate our breakfast in our own seats for fear that other parents will snatch ours. Haha!

Farissa and her classmate

This was us all gushed up

Kakak and her trophy

There she is.. our pride and joy! Congratulations again love.

Day 23 Renovation Progress Can't Be Glamorous Than This!

I received a call from Legolas saying that we are short of 9 pieces of tiles for the powder room "Akak.... tiles tak cukup arrr.." *yes Legolas sounded like that in my ear.. haha! I did some pestering to Mr. Bob (as usual he was super bz) to get the tiles that night. We were like maniac scouting for the remaining tiles.

That very evening we went to HomePro once again, praying and hoping that there are more tiles available for us to purchase (or else we had to buy it at White Horse which we probably cost us 3 times more.. *cry*). We went to the display tiles and there were only 3 pieces!! I started to freak out.. curses under my breath.. fumbling across the tile section searching for some personnel to help us out. Mr. Bob was able to talk to one of them and easily enough he told us that there is no more left!! Out of Stock!!! Without even looking.

I was definitely not impressed. Not impressed at all. Without Mr. Bob and neglecting the kids while they are pushing and playing with one of those empty trolleys. I dashed towards their stock pile boxes of tiles.. one after one reading their tile codes. I was on a mission you guys!!!

Finally after long hours of searching *exaggerated here* there it was!! The last 2 boxes *queue angelic sound effect*... Yessssss... With annoyance (towards both Mr. Bob and the HomePro guy), I pointed right to the boxes. GET THEM DOWN HERE!! Hahaha.. No lah... I ask very nicely for them to give me my tiles and paid for them gracefully. The end.

How is my story? Now, I leave you guys with my blinging glamorous tiles!

Day 22 Renovation Progress Lights Fans are Up and Walls Smashed!

Legolas and his team of soldiers have started his miracle work! Right on time.. Yippidooodah! I decided to stop by the house prior of releasing another 30% of progress payments and guys.. it looks promising. All lights and fan were up. Plus the hacking of walls both kitchen and powder room were done.

Although, there are some lighting that were giving me second thoughts. I am so fickle minded. Aaaarrrrghhh.

Well, await no further, let's just walk into the renovation site.

Living room chandelier are up. This baby will greet our guest nicely. The picture definitely done not do it any justice!

Wall chandeliers at the formal living. Now, I am not sure the touch of blue is looking good or otherwise.

Chandelier hanging above the dining...

This disco ball will have some fabulous time watching me dress and undress.. hahaha!

The fans are up!

Wrong placement of lighting. Back to the round table with Legolas with this!

Wrong again :( *didn't he refers to my lighting chart*

Hacking of the powder room... I can't wait!!!

Hacking of the kitchen.. Heeee.. hope today there will be more progress.. :)

Day 20 Renovation Progress and Nippon Weatherbond Exterior Paint

It's day 20 and today will mark the 2nd last day of defects works being done and 3 days officially start working on the house. Hurray! Since, our house is within a gated community, we had to submit plenty of paperwork to ensure that the contractors will have no problem to work on the house for a couple of weeks.

One of the items on the list for changes is the courtyard walls. Why the courtyard? Well, when you first enter the house, it is the first place you will set your eyes into. That is why, I feel that the courtyard has to play an important to entice our guest. We thought long and hard on this and decided on colours which are close to white, because it will reflect lights much better if compared to darker walls. Although, you might say darker walls will give more drama or luxury statement.

Last weekend, we make a stop at one of the Nippon  Paint shop at Seri Kembangan. The shop is located near Seri Kembangan's Dominos. We need to pick up 10L of paint from the shop with additional 1L of paint for the trims and built in planter box. Upon arrival, the staff (taking his own sweet time) show us the list of external paint that we could choose from. Our contractor Legolas (you can read more about him here), reminded us to buy ONLY Nippon weatherbond for this purpose. Right on!!!

We end up choosing Silver Lining for the walls with Wood grove for the trims and edges. Praying our best that it will look as great as one of the houses shown below. *Pray and hope* :)

This is the list of Classic / favorites paint colours that you could choose

Maybe richer colour suits you?

Tadaaaaaaa! Hey, I've googled this image. Tis not mine ok. Would love to have this outcome.

Looking around IKEA again

Hahahaha! I had this post in draft way back in October 2016. So, since it has been a long time when we last visit IKEA, why not just share some of the inspiration. If I could recall correctly, both of the kids are at school while we did this survey, which was so great that we could take our own sweet time browsing the place.

So, let's start the tour!

I like the possibility of hanging clothes and shoes like these on the walls. It saves a lot of space especially if one is lacking of it. Just imaging having this solution to hang the children's school  uniforms. You could hang it at their height so that they could take it themselves if they need it.

IKEA series of kitchen cabinets seem to intrigue me in many ways. It looks solid and the design in very simple and clean. However, the thought of have measure and design it yourself (eve though there will be an IKEA personnel to assist you) is quite overwhelming. I would rather have someone elso to plan for me from A to Z.

For RM159 this would be an excellent shelf to display your  precious collection. However, if you have a much bigger budget for display cabinet, you could easily purchase one with a closed doors. So dust or little fingers could not reach over them. This white cabinet below, will cost you RM1690 or the green one below that for RM 590 *a definitely steal!*

We are also looking so great (but friendly to the wallet) TV console. We could afford that much as we did a lot of splurging on the construction works of our house. *NoooooooooOOooo* Now, we could also survey with limited budget at hand. Something small, simple to assemble and cheap. Did I mentioned easy to assemble? Hahaha.

Hmmm this look good with some LED ligths

This looks even better folks!

What about this one? Looks great on dark purple walls. :)
Now, what's left is just the kids furniture. Of course mommy and daddy items has to be first. Haha! We are planning *praying* to move Ruzain out from the master to his own room. Farissa moved out when she was about 4 yrs and now it's adik's turn. Sobs. Kids... mommy and daddy need some hubba hubba time! *Don't judge*. *Didn't want to sound so eager too* Hahahhaa.

Very cool looking study table for Ruzain

Nice cabinet for Kakak

Oh yes.. we purchased this already.. Thought the stripes will look good in adik's room.
