Ginger Noi D'Pulze Cyberjaya Review

We actually went to D'pulze almost every week on Friday (longest lunch break). So, a couple weeks back *this post is long overdue, forgive me please* :P, the ladies and I tried out a new restaurant called Ginger Noi. From the name itself  we straightaway know that they are serving Thai cuisine. We love Thai.

We were sat done at the furthest corner of the restaurant, guided by one of the restaurant host. It was super chilly. I called them, and they happily moved us upfront of the restaurant which was way better in temp, I think. We scouted through the menu, everything looks good but a definitely over priced for Thai food.

We placed our orders and 20 mins later our food start arriving before our drinks. They serve individually and not the whole table. I had to wait for an additional 10mins while others started to chomp down their meal. Presentation wise it was quite unique. I ordered like sizzling deep fried seafood which was good, rice were over flowing. The other ladies ordered clear tomyam set and tomyam set both tasted ok. Nothing to shout about. Mid way through the meal, one of my companion found a strand of hair in her broth. We called the waiter and they change only the tomyam to a fresh new bowl without much hesitation.

In the end, we finished our meal feeling quite underwhelmed and unsatisfied. Taste ok but price of each of our lunch almost reaching RM30.

Tawau Wedding at Bombalai

Guilty!!! I know I've been guilty!! Haha. A lot has been happening in the real world that I did not have the time to sit down and write anything lately. I promised to keep up the pace from today onwards. :p

Last weekend, I had the chance to visit Tawau. I had never been to Sabah so this would be my first time. It was an executive decision, not to bring the lil ones, because flight ticket were quite expensive. Even for Airasia, each ticket cost like almost RM 500. I took a flight with my sister and within 2 hours and 50mins we were there!

The gals (4 generations - including a baby in the tummy). No, not mine!! My cousin's.
The night before the event, I was quite busy decor the 'Hantaran'. Everyone else tried their best to pitch in. However, in the end I was the one that complete all 6. Haha! The theme was English bouquet, so green, pink, fushia, was the main colour combination.

Umrah Package

Handbag Kate Spade

Total was 7 trays of hantaran

Shoes

Play station.. or is it Xbox?
The nikah event was short and simple. If compared with Johor weddings which was very lengthy this only takes about 15mins all in all. The nikah was at the masjid near Kuhara area. Huge masjid.

My cousin Hanif and his wife

Sweet right?

My aunt so touched by the whole ceremony. Her baby is now someone's husband.
We went back right to KL after the Majlis Bersanding that evening. So, Hana and I missed the event that night which both of the bride and groom wearing Bugis wedding outfit. *shoot*. Anyway, wishing them both happiness and proper with many2 kids. Insyallah.

Very festive!

Crazy for Franco's Sweet Dessert

I have such weakness towards sweet dessert. I could easily spot one advert on any kind of dessert and instantly have cravings for it. The latest episode in which I had this craving attack was during our weekend at IOI City Mall. I saw this delicious image of an ice cream, filled with fresh berries and instantly wanted to dine in Franco because they had the Berries Cheesecake Parfait.

Bear in mind, the menu in Franco are quite limited and with picky eaters that is never easy. But who cares?! We dash in Franco and immediately scouted the menu and ordered two of our favorite sweet snacks which was the Parfait and the French Toast. Because it was also dinner time, I ordered Carbonara for the kids (plain) and for myself Spicy Seafood Spagetti *you should never order this!* it is tasteless.

Mr. Bob stick to what he knows which was the Black Ink Squid with Rice (delicious).

My glorious food!

Carbonara Yummeh

My beautiful Parfait

I am so lazy to edit this. Haha! I'm sure if edited it will look so much more desirable. Anyway, you gotta try the French Toast and Parfait ya, especially if you are a true sweet obsession kind of gal!

We have Official Moved Back into a Rental~

Phew, after 1 week of leave we had finally moved into a temporary rental and I had successfully manage to organize our new home. :) It all started with the moving lorry arrived at our previous house at about 9.30 in the morning. We was prepared as we would ever be to move. It was a 5 tonne lorry for RM450 3 manpower to assist us with the move. I told Mr. Bob that it was important to squeeze in bulky items first and the ones that we could hauled using our Exora will be transported later. But lo behold, the lorry couldn't fit in our refrigerator, standalone stove, dining set and kitchen cabinet. So, in the end, we had to make a 2nd trip which cost us an additional RM 250. *sobs*

The service was ok but personally I would have liked if they handled our furniture with much more care. The whole transportation process took only a mere 2 and a half hours since our hour was only a couple of blocks away.

The kids playroom had to be shared with the pantry and the laundry :)

Organize the best we can

The kids poured in their creativity
Of course the playroom has to come first, as I wanted the kids to be occupied while I arrange other parts of the house. Then, comes the kitchen. The house did not come with any kitchen cabinet and I was only able to drag one from my old house. Believe me I got a whole dash of pots, pans, plates, baking trays that I couldn't even stashed in this new kitchen of mine. So, in the end most of them are stored in the store room. *Be patient my lovelies*

This stacking storage only cost RM 59 from ikea

Same like the old living room right?

My small but functional kitchen
Mr. Bob took pity on me and decided to built up another kitchen cabinet (white on the right) RM340 by ikea so that the gas tong will be stored in there and my convection oven has a counter top to reside. So what do you guys think?

Our home sweet home for at least 2 years. Insyallah.

Tokyo Grape Picking, Mount Fuji, Gotemba Outlet and Halal Grill inShibuya!!

Talk about killing a lot of birds in one stone *figure of speech*! We done all of the above within a day time. Haha! Its our final day before flying back to KL the next morning. We got ready super early that morning, had breakfast and our Malay driver Pian picked us up in front of the lobby.

Our first stop was this RnR, about 45 mins Mount Fuji. Pian has prepared some fried rice and fried chicken for breakfast. The kids gone ballistic trying out one of those put a penny for a toy in a ball kinda thing.

Each with their own tiny toy

Nasi goreng.. Malaysian style!

RNR we're almost there!
Then, we stop at one of those Grape picking places. Somehow, we weren't allowed to pick any grapes. So, action please. Haha!

Nenma got herself some free grapes

Dede and Nane. ~Love

Look at all those grapes!! So fat.
We could also purchase grapes here. I didn't know that there is so many types of grapes and they all tasted differently. Since, our tour guide Pian is still new to Japanese language we did have difficulty in communicating with the farmers there. There we a lot of loud talking *as if the louder they talk we could actually understand them.. tsssk* In the end, we successfully buy a couple of baskets. Kuddos!!

Look at those prices

I want this want.. kudasai!!
At last we arrived at Mount Fuji!! It was quite cold about 10 degrees. The wind definitely makes the weather cooler. It was raining the whole morning but by the time we arrive it stop. Alhamdullilah lucky for us. Pian is already prepared with our lunch boxes which we had white rice, vegetable curry and fried chicken. To me anything with fried chicken tasted good. Haha! The lunch box has a mechanism where it could reheat our meal in a jiff..

Can't stand the cold wind!

Our lunch with our heated box..

Nenma and Tok Ayah cannot wait to dig in!!

Papa and Farissa.. Jom makan..
Of course we had to do some souvenir shopping after lunch. There are many shops that you could browse through. Although most of the souvenirs will cost you about 500 yen roughly RM20 each. I didn't buy much only some green in cute Japanese girl tin can.

My little green Japanese Mushroom

While hubby and kiddos running around!!

This look like a ski resort right?

Adek with little baby bear!!

Once we wrapped everything up, we drove to Gotemba Outlet on the way back. This shopping haven is equipped with a surau.  I was on prayer leave so everyone else got to pray in the Surau. It's clean and spacious. I didn't feel like shopping anything *everything was so expensive to me* so, we had pancakes instead!! This eatery place serves only pancakes and being me *a sweet food lover* couldn't help but to try out some. It was wonderful!!

Surau

We rented this out for 100 yen!

Hot coffee

Gosh.. mouth watering..

Sedap ya kakak??
Then, after one exhausting day *mostly in the car* we stop by at Shibuya to have our dinner. The restaurant we being brought to is known as Gyumon a Halal certified grilled place. It is in a modest house cum restaurant, 2 storey high. The food was good though. It will warm your tummy up in no time.

Let's order some food kids!

Halal standard..

Ok.. Who's hungry now?? Hehe
